DAY 3

Third day AM.
Today I went to a company visit to ASTI.
What I like?
             I like this company because they are inventing new technologies for the good of our country just like for example the earthquake detector.
What I didn’t like?
            I didn’t like the facilitators because they are not clearly explaining the essence of their business.
What I learned?
Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI)
Objectives of ASTI:
-         To provide an alternative low cost but effective desktop
-         To reduce dependence on priority software

Third day PM.
Today I went to a company visit to SSS.
What I like?
            I like the SSS Company because they are serving the people for how many years and the priority of this company is the poor people who cannot sustain their own. The benefits that we can got from SSS are we can loan our own money and we have a pension when we retired in our job.
What I didn’t like?
            I didn’t like the company when you have the transaction because it is so very slow and you must undergo a fall in line process due to their lack of  facilities.
What I learned?
1970-1983- Centralized computer processing
                - Baguio and Dagupan were online
1983-1986- Used other facilities
1986-1992- SSS main office
                     - Oracle RDIBMS
1992-1996- Loans and pensions are fully computerized by using database information
1997-2003- Duplicate the folder to other location
2003-2009- Centralized all databases member
                      -Decommissioning of SSS business recovery
